Antonia Schäfer is a cinematographer from Germany. After completing her BA in Cinematography at the international filmschool cologne (2017–2020), she worked as a spark for two years before earning her MA in Cinematography at the renowned National Film and Television School in London (2023–2024).
She is drawn to films that capture the many facets of life and to screenplays that reveal their true meaning between the lines.
Her work includes numerous short films, as well as short documentaries, commercials, and music videos, along with camera operating on feature films. Her graduation film "Charly" (Dir: Alisa Kolosova) was awarded the Hofer Gold Prize at the 2021 International Hofer Film Festival.
Cologne will always be a part of her — if she’s not there, she’s probably in London or somewhere else in the world, working or occasionally with a surfboard. Antonia has shooting experience in Germany, Austria, the UK, Majorca, and Colombia. Alongside digital formats, she has a strong passion for shooting on analog film.
Antonia also goes by Toni, Anton, Tones, or Tonia.
